The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Center for Countering Disinformation, has published information on nine individuals in the "kremlin Mouthpieces" section of the War & Sanctions portal.
These individuals actively promote russian propaganda both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and abroad. They spread pro-kremlin narratives, produce pseudo-documentary films, cover combat operations exclusively from the aggressor state's perspective, and justify russia's war against Ukraine.
Alongside its full-scale military invasion, russia continues waging a hybrid information war. Using foreign-based media agents, propaganda films, distorted battlefield reports, and content from occupied territories, the kremlin seeks to impose its narratives on the global audience, legitimize the occupation, and justify its aggression and numerous war crimes.
The data on the nine "propaganda agents" published today were collected during the international War & Sanctions hackathon. Among those identified are:
Previously, the DIU published data on seven individuals, also identified during the hackathon, who were involved in militarizing Ukrainian children in the temporarily occupied territories and facilitating their illegal adoption by russian families.
