WAR&SANCTIONS: Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Center for Countering Disinformation Publish Data on Nine kremlin Propaganda Agents 03.09.2025 The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Center for Countering Disinformation, has published information on nine individuals in the "kremlin Mouthpieces" section of the War & Sanctions portal.
These individuals actively promote russian propaganda both in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and abroad. They spread pro-kremlin narratives, produce pseudo-documentary films, cover combat operations exclusively from the aggressor state's perspective, and justify russia's war against Ukraine.
Alongside its full-scale military invasion, russia continues waging a hybrid information war. Using foreign-based media agents, propaganda films, distorted battlefield reports, and content from occupied territories, the kremlin seeks to impose its narratives on the global audience, legitimize the occupation, and justify its aggression and numerous war crimes.
The data on the nine "propaganda agents" published today were collected during the international War & Sanctions hackathon. Among those identified are:

vladimir rodzianko — a russian-american media figure and co-founder of the far-right conspiracy platform The Duran, which systematically spreads pro-russian disinformation, including false narratives about the war against Ukraine.
marina kortunova — a veteran of state propaganda operations in Iran and russia, head of the Iranian state broadcaster Press TV in Moscow, and an active participant in the launch of RT Arabic.
igor lopatonok — producer of pseudo-documentary films about Ukraine's Revolution of Dignity and author of the project "To russia With Love," which aimed to persuade Westerners to relocate to russia. A foundation established by vladimir putin funded the project.
"War correspondents" and Telegram channel authors: vladimir romanov, alexander chernyshov, evgeny lisitsyn, and others.
Previously, the DIU published data on seven individuals, also identified during the hackathon, who were involved in militarizing Ukrainian children in the temporarily occupied territories and facilitating their illegal adoption by russian families.
