The Emblem of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is a black round shield with golden setting. A straight equilateral cross with divergent crimson sides is positioned against the shield. An image of the Seal of Volodymyr the Great State is inserted into the round blue locket positioned in the centre of the cross. The locket is overlaid with an image of a four-point star, tipped with an image of “scout” lily and two upward-pointing crossed swords, positioned between the sides of the cross.

The edges of the cross, the image of the star and swords are golden.

The height of the locket comprises 2/5 of the height of the cross.
