It was a festive day for the inhabitants of the town and region indeed, because on the town’s railway platform they could solemnly greet their countrymen, who had been defending Ukraine from Russian occupants.
For the first time since the onset of Russian armed aggression against our state reconnaissance men returned home on the eve of the New Year. In spite of feeling fatigued, the warriors were happy to be finally at home. For over two years, the battalion’s warriors courageously defended the territorial integrity of our state. Amid harsh conditions they daily contained the aggressor and protected our native land at the expense of their lives and health.
Congratulating reconnaissance men on their return, the first Deputy Head of District State Administration noted: “We sincerely believe that the war will end and all of our warriors-defenders will return home alive, and finally peace will come to our land. Today, we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your bravery and courage. These brave deeds deserve high honours and respect. May God protect and bless you! Return always to your families alive, healthy and with victory!”
