Each kit includes: up-to-date haemostatic, anti-shock medicines, bandaging materials and even thermal blanket. First-aid kits costs 70 dollars. They were purchased on contribution of sponsors both from Ukraine and from abroad.
For example, one of Ukrainian businessman transferred one million hryvnias to purchase haemostatic. It is planned to convey 50 thousands such first-aid kits to Ukrainian servicemen. For the present, 2 thousands servicemen received such first-aid kits who fulfilled key condition of Fund: serviceman receives first-aid kit only after finishing a course on tactical medicine and after passing test.
“We not simply have handed first-aid kits to our units, it is important that we have conducted trainings; because first-aid kit doesn’t need without training. From beginning of war, it was a lot of cases when wounded servicemen were delivered in Dnepropetrovsk but their first-aid kits weren’t unpack. It means that servicemen didn’t know how to use them”, the Head of Fund of Country’s Defence Pavlo Khazan said.
