Strengthening the Social Protection of Service Personnel Is the Foremost Priorities of the Defence Ministry of Ukraine

“The priority tasks set before the Defence Ministry of Ukraine by President of Ukraine – Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi will be fully accomplished,” Minister of Defence of Ukraine Andrii Taran said.

According to the Defence Minister of Ukraine, the goals of further reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, development and strengthening their combat capabilities, implementation of NATO standards on the path of further integration of Ukraine into the Euro-Atlantic area, as well as procurement of the latest weapons and military equipment for the units of the Ukrainian Army, especially those that are currently performing combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation are the foremost priorities of the Defence Ministry.

Andrii Taran also noted that an equally important goal is the continuation of the policy aimed at the strengthening the social protection of service personnel. It concerns, particularly, the establishment of decent conditions for military service, as well as the so-called “motivational package” which will include providing housing for servicemen and their families, decent financial support, priority rights of admission to educational institutions, free education, appropriate medical care, development of medical infrastructure, etc.

Andrii Taran underlined that all these tasks are of paramount importance and require consolidation of efforts, persistence and determination from both the leadership of the defence office and all personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine stand ready to excel in achievement of the assigned tasks.
