russia is learning from its mistakes and it is now harder for Ukrainian troops to hit its ammunition depots and logistics hubs. That’s why, Ukraine needs longer range missiles.
This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview for CNN.
According to the representative of Ukraine’s military intelligence, the invaders have begun to move military supplies across the entire territory of the russian federation, in particular, through the Crimean Peninsula to the southern regions.
“Therefore, this requires strikes against facilities not only in russian-occupied Crimea, but also in the russian federation,” Vadym Skibitskyi noted.
The DIU’s representative told that russia’s logistics systems as lying 80 to 120 kilometers from the front line. Ukraine needs longer-range strike systems to target them.
It is also necessary to launch counteroffensive before russia drop the reinforcements.
“In order to prepare a counteroffensive or offensive operation, it needs to destroy many installations, not only on the front line, but also deep behind, 100-150 kilometers behind the enemy lines,” DIU representative explained.
“In addition, to form strong strike groupings, Ukraine needs tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, heavy weapons,” Vadym Skibitskyi added.
