Greetings of Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on the occasion of the Day of Defender of Ukraine
Dear colleagues, combat sworn brothers!
On October 14, on the Day of Intercession of the Holy Virgin and Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, our nation celebrates the Day of Defender of Ukraine.
At all times, faith in God and protection of Homeland have been inseparably associated in the consciousness of Ukrainian warriors. Weapons and skills make the army powerful; strength of mind makes it unconquerable!
Nowadays, when Russian aggression is still in progress and the military threat from the East presents the most complex strategic challenge, our servicemen, having contained the advance of Russian terrorist troops into the depth of our country, are firmly holding their positions in the eastern and southern regions of our state.
Tempered in the fierce battles for the liberation of Donbas, Ukrainian troops gained unique combat experience, strengthening their potential and combat capabilities every day. As the President of Ukraine – Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said: “We have assets and means to protect the peace of our state and our people”.
The military intelligence continues to execute its main tasks, giving particular attention to preventive responsiveness to new challenges and threats for Ukraine and predicting the development of the military-political and military-strategic situation in the world. It requires a deep insight into national interests and a strategy for their protection, a clear vision of purposes, as well as a combination of powerful intelligent potential, extensive expertise and professionalism.
I thank all the agency’s workforce for your significant contribution in ensuring the national security of Ukraine. Special words of gratitude to those who are performing combat tasks on the frontline.
On this national holiday, I sincerely congratulate all of you with the Day of Defender of Ukraine! I wish you good health, happiness, inspiration, unwavering faith in our Victory and new achievements on the path of Ukraine’s establishment as a powerful and prosperous state!
