Behind the restrained sentence of Decree about the awarding with the state awards “for personal courage and heroism displayed in the protection of state independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, adherence to oath of allegiance…” is hidden real feats of Ukrainian reconnaissance men whose names will not publish for long time.

During the holding of counterterrorist operation, reconnaissance men have performed missions in the most dangerous places. Risking their life every second, they have been collecting the information that is required to our command for decision making.

One day we will certainly hear about the work of Ukrainian intelligence both on the forward edge of the armed conflict and in the den of the terrorist group. It will be written books, will be made films and will be told at “lessons of courage” about it… Meanwhile, we can see the surname of those who dedicated their lives to intelligence, defending Motherland, in official documents on awarding with the note “(posthumously)”.
