The President of Ukraine presented high state awards to Ukrainian warriors – ATO heroes during the solemn ceremony on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.

Among the servicem to receive the order “For Courage” of III class was Junior Sergeant Denys Hryniuk – senior scout of the 74th separate reconnaissance battalion of operational command “East”.

Denys Hryniuk has been participating in the anti-terrorist operation since August 2014 to this day. From April till May 2015, while performing a task in the area of Novotroitske, Dokuchaievsk, Junior Sergeant Hryniuk was the leader of a reconnaissance group. In the course of one assault-and-reconnaissance operation, his group destroyed a terrorist sabotage-reconnaissance group in full strength, which included 6 enemies. Due to their professionalism and courage, Sergeant Hryniuk’s group came out from fire contact without casualties.
