NATO Continues Rendering Assistance in Refresher Training of Former Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Trained as Civilian Specialties

An opening ceremony of 350-hour refresher training course for former and acting servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (who are planning to be dismissed) by profession “Business Security Management” was held at Rivne Institute of Opening International University of Human Development “Ukraine”.

“We are doing our work in several programmes, within the framework of one of which you will be trained. This is the programme of social adaption of servicemen, acted since 1999. During this time, more than 11 thousand people felt our assistance towards social adaptation. Last year we conducted refresher training for about 800 students. Funds, devoted for the current year, will allow to train students of the same number,” a manager of NATO-Ukraine Programme Christopher Shtaudt said during course opening ceremony.

According to him, this programme allows to undergo training in such direction, as follows: management, marketing, English language, economics of small enterprise, radio electronics, design, information technology, security services, navigation of small-sized ships.

It is currently reported that this is seventh admission of students in Rivne garrison. Totally, over recent years, more than 4200 servicemen underwent refresher training course at the western region of Ukraine, most part of whom obtained employment. Courses were conducted in Brody, Volodymyr-Volynskyi, Drohobychi, Zolochev, Lutsk, Lviv, Mukachevo, Rivne, Sambir, Stryi, Uzhhorod, Chervonohrad, Chernivtsi and Yavoriv.
