To Fulfill the Order of the President of Ukraine, an Inspection of Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Performing Tasks in Donbas, Has Been Launched
By the instruction of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and in accordance with the Plan of Control over the Activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in 2021, the Office of the Head of State on February 2 began the inspection check of readiness of C2 bodies, formations, military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are performing tasks in the JFO area in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, to fulfill the assigned tasks.
The main purpose of the inspection is to check the readiness of the strength and means that involved in the JFO to perform the assigned tasks, as well as to determine the effectiveness of measures taken by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other C2 bodies regarding comprehensive provision of assets, performing tasks in the east of the state. In addition, the inspection is aimed at identifying factors that negatively affect the state of readiness of forces and means to perform tasks.
Representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Office of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine were involved in the inspection.
Based on the results of the inspection, a report will be prepared to the President of Ukraine, as well as proposals for further increasing capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and ways to solve existing problems in the sphere of the defence of the state.
