Film reproduces one day from the life of defenders of Donetsk airport, shows the story of transformation of unsubdued warriors to real cyborgs, the story of courage, hope and love to native land, the story of those who was ready not only to fight but to die. At the center of film “Airport” are the stories of colonel of Special Forces with callsign “Redut” who was headed the defence of international airport “Donetsk” named after Serhii Prokofiev on October 1, 2014, and his friends – warriors, volunteers, and journalists.

The Ukrainian President and his wife have visited the premiere of documentary film “Airport” and communicated with direct participants of the events reflected in the film – defenders of Donetsk airport. The President has addressed to “cyborgs”: “Your feat has revived the morale of the Ukrainian army. If it was not for you, the enemy would be all over Ukraine now”.

The attendees have honored the memory of the fallen heroes with a minute’s silence.
