According to the Decree of the Ukrainian President No. 948/2014 of 22 December, 2014, “On celebration of the National Unity Day of Ukraine in 2015”, on the eve of anniversary of this significant historical event for every Ukrainian, it was conducted briefing dedicated to “In unity is a power of nation, God, give us solidarity” at the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

Employee of Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, Candidate of History Serhii Hromenko was invited to hold briefing.

At the beginning of the briefing, the personnel of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine honoured the memory of civilian inhabitants who were killed by terrorists on January 13, 2015, near Volnovaha, Donetsk region.

In his report Serhii Hromenko emphasized on facts that were preceded to unification and events that were after consolidation of Ukrainian People’s Republic and Western Ukrainian People’s Republic. Combining skillfully the report on historical events with the assessment of development of modern situation in Ukraine, Serhii Victorovych underscored that it is necessary to take into account past mistakes in order to prevent them in future.

The personnel with a great interest heard the story of scientist. In his turn, he answered the questions of thankful audience with a pleasure.
