Topography, tactical medicine, command and control of drone, rules of handling weapons – instructors of the DIU Artan special forces unit conduct training for young men and women to ensure that they are ready to act in difficult circumstances and protect themselves in the future.

“First and foremost, we teach children not to fight, but to save their lives as much as possible and help save others,” said the instructor who teaches the rules of conduct with weapons.
One of the most popular disciplines of the Zvytiaha training programme among teenagers is Sniper Skills, taught by a DIU Special Forces officer with the call sign “Koreiets”.
“When I receive a list of children who have signed up for sniping, these are almost all the children who are going to this training,” he said.
An important part of the programme is lectures on Ukrainian history and cultural heritage.
“During Zvytiaha, we emphasise that russians, just like a hundred years ago, continue to appropriate our culture and the culture of other nations. For them, stealing is like breathing,” said the instructor with the call sign “Lemko”.
Maria has already completed several training courses, improving her skills and abilities to become an instructor for her peers.
“This is important to me because the society that is formed from our youth must be completely new and have a completely different view and ideology than we were taught before,” she explained.
According to a Special Forces soldier with the call sign “Lis”, the training can be useful not only for Ukrainian youth, but also for the servicemen themselves.
“It can be a project of socialisation and adaptation to life of our wounded guys, veterans who are unable to take part in combat actions now, so we will involve them in such activities,” the intelligence man said.
