This proposition, said by the Acted Chief of Commission on marksmanship training Major Andrii Stopuriak, was simply shocking. What a safari? Where is it located in the forests of the International Peacekeeping and Security Center under the National Army Academy named after hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi? Turns out, everything is simple. Army Inform news agency has already described the newest obstacle course for the reconnaissance units which was built by specialists from Lviv. Along with it, the Ukrainian reconnaissance personnel have also created training ground for marksmanship and special training, which was named “Safari”.

– Why Safari? – the officer smiled. – Because it makes sense – there is a lot of sand, and we learn to hunt especially dangerous criminals.

This training camp includes eight sections. Each of them allows to train a certain number of tasks, such as fighting in the city or adjustment of special weapons. all of them were formed taking account ATO/JFO experience. Before creating this training base, the reconnaissance men accurately gathered the experience gained by their sworn brothers, while performing real combat missions. Then this knowledge was systematized. And after that, was implemented in real life. The construction of the training base began two years ago and has not stopped yet. The fact is that, in idea of reconnaissance men, several more sections for special training are being created right now. According to experts, this base must be universal in order to be changed in accordance with the requirements of modern combat action.

Ukrainian reconnaissance men are widely use the modern system of combat training "BARS" in daily training. It should be reminded that it was constructed and began to be introduced in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014. It was aimed to train the soldier to perform the assigned task, despite the physical and psychological stress. Also, our warriors study and adapt to the Ukrainian specifics the knowledge of soldiers from other countries. All this makes possible to prepare high-class specialists who, having passed the training course in Lviv region, become a horror and a constant nightmare for the occupants of our Motherland.
