On July 4, 2025, a Chevrolet Aveo exploded on the outskirts of the temporarily occupied settlement of Strilkove, Kherson region. Inside the vehicle were three russian invaders — UAV operators from the so-called "Bars-Sarmat" special-purpose drone unit of the russian occupation forces.
All three, including the commander of the group, were eliminated. These operatives posed a direct threat to Ukraine's Defense and Security Forces and had been involved in terrorizing the civilian population of the Kherson region.
The so-called "Bars-Sarmat" center was formed in 2024 on temporarily occupied territory in the Zaporizhzhia region. It focuses on testing and combat deployment of new robotic and electronic warfare systems, including UAVs, robotic platforms, electronic reconnaissance and jamming systems, and command-and-control technologies.
The unit commander is dmitry rogozin, former head of Roscosmos, russia's state space agency.
The russian "Bars-Sarmat" center consists of several sub-units. The group eliminated in this strike was part of "Bars-1," based in occupied Henichesk. The unit's field commander, call sign "Corsair," is shown in a photo standing next to Rogozin.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reminds all perpetrators of war crimes against the Ukrainian people: Justice is inevitable.
Glory to Ukraine!
