The perpetrators of yet another war crime committed by the aggressor state, russia, on April 13, 2025, in the city of Sumy — which resulted in the deaths of dozens of Ukrainian civilians — were missile units of the russian Armed Forces’ 112th and 448th Rocket Brigades.

Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, reported this on his official X page.

“Another war crime by russia — a ballistic missile strike on Sumy that took the lives of Ukrainian civilians. Many were on their way to church for Palm Sunday, and others were returning home after the service.

It’s already known that the attack was carried out with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, launched by russian forces from the 112th and 448th Missile Brigades, firing from lisky in the voronezh region and lezhenki in the kursk region of the aggressor state.

It’s our responsibility to ensure that every war criminal is held accountable.
