Cyber units of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted another successful special operation in russia – this time they attacked the tax system of the aggressor state.

During the special operation, military intelligence officers managed to break into one of the well-protected key central servers of the federal taxation service (fts of the russian federation), and then into more than 2,300 of its regional servers throughout russia, as well as on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.

As a result of the cyberattack, all servers were infected with malware.

At the same time, the russian IT company Office.ed-it.ru, which serviced the russian federal taxation service, was attacked in the same way.

As a result of two cyber-attacks, the configuration files, which have been ensuring the functioning of the extensive taxation system of the russian federation for years, were completely eliminated ― the entire database and its backup copies were destroyed.

Communication between the central office in moscow and the 2,300 russian territorial departments is paralysed, as well as between the russia’s federal taxation service and Office.ed-it.ru, which was the tax data centre (data bank).

In fact, this means a complete destruction of the infrastructure of one of the main state bodies of terrorist russia and numerous related tax data for a long period.

Internet traffic of tax data on the scale of the whole of russia ended up in the hands of the military intelligence of Ukraine.

The russians have been trying to restore the tax service's work for four days in a row without success. According to experts, the paralysis of the russian federal taxation service will last at least a month. At the same time, it is impossible to entirely resuscitate the tax system of the aggressor state.

The cyberattack by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine was another serious blow to the kremlin regime, which for a time lost control over taxes and fees.

This is to remind that military intelligence of Ukraine has recently conducted a successful cyber operation against the russian federal air transport agency (rosaviatsia) and gained access to classified service data of the russian agency.
