Law “On the National Security of Ukraine” Will Bring the Security and Defence Sector of Ukraine up to EU and NATO Standards

The President of Ukraine stated this during discussions of the above-mentioned draft law in the National Defence and Security Council of Ukraine
The National Defence and Security Council of Ukraine - headed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko - discussed the draft law “On the National Security of Ukraine”.
“This legislative act must bring the national security and defence standards in compliance with EU standards on national security. The draft law is aimed at Ukraine obtaining membership both in the European Union and in North-Atlantic Treaty, which will be an unconditional guarantee of the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state”, – noted Petro Poroshenko and underscored the significance of this issue.
