In an interview with Bloomberg, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, stressed the need to block russia’s access to elements used by the aggressor in the manufacture of missiles and drones.
“If you open any of these missiles or drones, you will see that they are full of Western components,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
First and foremost, we are talking about dual-use goods, such as semiconductors and microelectronics, which russia buys on a huge scale despite the sanctions.
According to the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the aggressor immediately uses missiles and drones made using these key parts to shell Ukraine.
“Companies can say that they don’t sell anything to russia that they just sell to some intermediaries. But this doesn’t change the fact that these parts are going to russia in huge volumes. [...] Everyone is looking away from what’s happening,” said Kyrylo Budanov.
