The aggressor state continues to commit cultural genocide, making it an integral part of its war against Ukraine. One of the most egregious crimes is russia's illegal deportation of Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories. These children are being detained, "re-educated," subjected to ideological indoctrination, and militarized.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) is publishing new findings on the War&Sanctions portal, which shed light on the activities of the russian military-patriotic club feniks.
In December last year, this club hosted a so-called "military-patriotic program" for children from temporarily occupied Makiivka.
The event was organized by the club's director, dmitry lipovskiy, and russian "comedian" dmitry khrustalyov. During the program, they escorted children to a tank training ground, taught them to shoot, and instructed them to salute.
In addition, the DIU is releasing updated data on:
- Eleven vessels were involved in the illegal export of stolen Ukrainian grain from occupied territories;
- Twenty-four tankers of russia's "shadow fleet" that are contributing to the financing of the war;
- Three russian enterprises producing UAVs for the russian military and localizing component production within russia;
- natalia nikolaenko, director of the "Young Guard" museum, which implements federal projects aimed at legitimizing the occupation of Ukrainian land.
Just two days ago, russian intelligence services attempted to disrupt the operation of the War&Sanctions portal.
As previously reported, they failed — and today, the DIU is releasing yet another round of updates on russian war crimes and the mechanisms funding them.
Today's update is our message to the enemy: your attempts to hide the truth are futile. The facts are documented. The faces are known.
