The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has published a detailed list and analysis of 41 enterprises that are part of or managed by russia’s Uralvagonzavod concern on the War&Sanctions portal.
Uralvagonzavod is russia’s primary armored vehicle production holding and a core asset of the state-owned Rostec corporation. It plays a critical role in supplying the russian armed forces with armored equipment used in the war against Ukraine.
Enterprises within the concern manufacture and modernize T-72B3M, T-80BVM, T-90M, and T-90MS “Proryv” main battle tanks, the TOS-1A “Solntsepyok” heavy flamethrower system, tank support combat vehicles (BMPT), and armored recovery vehicles (BREM).
Additionally, under contracts with the russian ministry of defense, the concern manufactures railway cars for transporting personnel and military equipment.
Since 2022, Uralvagonzavod enterprises have significantly reduced civilian railcar production to focus on fulfilling state defense orders.
Despite the holding’s strategic importance to russia’s war effort, 23 enterprises linked to Uralvagonzavod remain unsanctioned by any country in the sanctions coalition.
As of today, the “The aggressor`s military-industrial complex” section of the War&Sanctions portal contains data on 429 enterprises that are part of or managed by five Rostec holdings.
Each profile includes identification details, the company’s role within the holding and Rostec’s overall structure, ownership and subordination links, as well as information on imposed sanctions.
Publishing this data is intended to help responsible businesses conduct due diligence, cease cooperation with companies directly supporting russia’s military aggression, and promote the synchronization of sanctions policies among Ukraine’s partner states.
Previously, within the “Instruments of War” section of the War & Sanctions portal, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine disclosed information on hundreds of foreign-made machines and components used by the Uralvagonzavod concern.
