War & Sanctions: DIU and the Centre for Countering Disinformation Continue Exposing the kremlin’s Propaganda Agents
December 8, 2025

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Centre for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defence Council have published new data in the “kremlin Mouthpieces” section of the War & Sanctions portal. The update includes information on bloggers, TV hosts, and performers who openly support russia’s war and the occupation of Ukrainian territory.

Russian propaganda justifies aggression and war crimes, fuels hatred and dehumanisation, attempts to legitimise the occupation, and seeks to undermine international support for Ukraine.

The CCD and DIU continue their systematic joint work to counter these efforts and expose russia’s agents of influence.

  • Today’s update features:
  • • kirill fyodorov — a Latvian pro-russian blogger and host on the “Solovyov LIVE” channel. He was arrested in Riga in 2022 for supporting russia’s aggression against Ukraine and charged with inciting ethnic hatred. After being released on bail, he fled to russia.
  • • yuriy kot — a russian TV presenter who hosted anti-Maidan events in 2013–2014 before relocating to russia. He publicly supported russian militants in Donbas and later the full-scale invasion, actively amplifying kremlin narratives.
  • • taisiya povaliy — a former Ukrainian “People’s Artist” who received russian citizenship in 2023. She has repeatedly taken part in russian propaganda events on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

Voices of russian propaganda must be blocked in the civilised world. Anyone who supports war, violence, and occupation must face appropriate sanctions — including travel bans, asset freezes, and the seizure of financial accounts.
