WAR&SANCTIONS: DIU organises international hackathon for OSINT investigators

To the first anniversary of the War&Sanctions analytical portal, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine is holding an open hackathon for OSINT investigators worldwide.

Ukrainian and foreign research teams and independent OSINT investigators will prepare analytical materials for the portal's existing sections, propose new thematic areas, and conduct investigations based on the portal data as part of the hackathon.

The format is mixed (online and offline). Participants will complete tasks remotely within a specific timeframe.

Representatives of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, heads of central executive authorities, and state bodies of Ukraine will evaluate the works and determine the winners.

The Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, will personally present the awards to the winners during the ceremony. An online format is provided for participants from abroad.

To participate in the hackathon, fill out the form here by 8 p.m. on 21 May and wait for the task to be sent to the email address you provided during registration.

To recap, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine launched the War&Sanctions platform on 1 June 2024. During its operation, the portal has grown from two to nine sections, some of which have several different data sets.

Today, the portal consists of thousands of subjects and objects that form, feed, provide, embody, and support russia's war against Ukraine.
