A courage Ukrainian woman who was involved in creation of the first female chota (platoon) at ukrainian Sich Riflemen units during the First World War, worked at Ukrainian League of Peace and Freedom and Ukrainian Section of the International Red Cross, from which she was awarded the Silver Order. Later, she became one of the founders of foreign residentura of the Ukrainian People’s Republic – and that’s not all of that Olha Basarab did for formation of the Ukrainian statehood.
