During the operation of the military intelligence of Ukraine to clean up the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant, the commanders of the russian occupants realised the hopelessness of regaining control of the facility, but still forced their soldiers to pursue resistance.

This was stated by Andrii Cherniak, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, on the air of the national telethon "United News".

According to him, the mission to liberate the plant had been prepared for several weeks, and the successful clearance of the buildings of the plant by the DIU's Special Forces officers greatly contributed to the effectiveness of further actions by the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine.

"This was critical for facilitating our logistics as much as possible, supporting of our forces located in the area. This will further enable Ukraine’s Defence Forces to conduct counteroffensive actions and drive the enemy out of Ukrainian land," said the DIU's representative.

Mr Cherniak added that the russians holding the plant suffered serious manpower losses because their commanders, through violence, effectively condemned their soldiers to a senseless death.

"Actually, russian commanders were doing some terrifying, wild, and deranged things to their subordinates. It’s about premeditated murders, it’s about terror. This is another example where russian soldiers have no rights as they are not seen as human beings at all," Andrii Cherniak noted.
