During the ceremony of swearing the oath of allegiance, the addressing of Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Colonel General Vasyl Burba was set to young defenders of Ukraine:

“Dear warriors!

I congratulate you on the taking the Military Oath of Allegiance to the Ukrainian people!

At this difficult time for our state you have had a great and responsible honour to serve in units of military intelligence, whose representatives, even at the cost of their own lives, are courageously and heroically protecting independence, sovereignty and Ukrainian territorial integrity, gained in selfless struggle of many generations.

I am confident that the slogan of the military intelligence personnel “Ukraine is above all” will become a reason to live for everyone.

Be worthy descendants of glorious combat traditions of the Ukrainian warriors, protect and strengthen authority of the military intelligence of Ukraine!

May your devotion to the Ukrainian people as well as possible be demonstrated in self-devoted service, high responsibility for protecting Homeland, successful mastering the military knowledge, modern weapons and military equipment.

I sincerely wish all of you unwavering faith in our Victory over the enemy, optimism, inspiration, strong health, happiness and successes in your military service!
