Within the framework of the recreation program for children from towns near the demarcation line, from the town of Krymske in Luhansk oblast, 27 children aged from 8 to 14 years old were sent to the health establishments.
The scouts from the 24th separate mechanized brigade decided to cover and ensure the security of the children during the departure from the dangerous area. As not so long ago, local population of that area faced daily artillery attacks. While children waited for their departure, medical workers of the brigade who provided medical support treated them with apples and sweets.
The scouts accompanied the young Ukrainians till the very train. Only after that, they came back to the brigade's location area. Sincere words of gratitude and hand kisses of girls were the reward for the soldiers.
When the scouts came back to the position, one of them noted: "These young faces, eyes full of hope, selfless and sincere smiles are the future of our Ukraine, for which we fight, and it means that it's worth it”.
