On May 17, 2024, enemy forces made another attempt to assault the town of Chasiv Yar, deploying 20 pieces of military equipment.

The attack was repelled by the DIU's KRAKEN active action unit and other units.

As of on May 18, 2024, 08:00 p.m. there is no a single occupier in Chasiv Yar.
