Center for Countering Disinformation Will Start Operating in Ukraine
"Today, Ukraine is at the forefront, including at the forefront of the fight against propaganda. At the United Nations, I took the initiative to establish a Center for Countering Disinformation in Ukraine. It will begin its work in the near future and should become an international hub for combating disinformation and propaganda around the world,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in his speech at the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. Culture, Media, Tourism”.
The President of Ukraine also stressed that in order to effectively fight against misinformation, people have to distinguish fakes from facts and check any information. He added that media literacy lessons should be introduced in the school curriculum, and the older generations should be taught “information hygiene”.
