The Memory in Granite Is Perpetuated

The Ukrainians commemorate the memory about its defenders who were fallen in battles for the sake for our independent Homeland.

First in the region memorial, dedicated to the hero of the Russo-Ukrainian war, employee of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Lieutenant-Colonel Mykhailo Tsymbalistyi has been unveiled in Uvysla village Chortkivskyi district Ternopil region. On the night of September 13th to 14th, 2019 the intelligence officer was killed with an enemy sniper’s bullet while performing a combat task near Pavlopil in Donetsk region.

The event has been attended by relatives, hero’s combat sworn brothers, the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the representatives of local administration and public.

Since the first days of the russian aggression, Mykhailo Tsymbalistyi defended the eastern border of Ukraine. He took part in reconnaissance operations and the key battles of the Russo-Ukrainian war. He defended the Donetsk airport. He is a holder of orders “For Courage” 2nd and 3rd degree.

During the unveiling ceremony, Mykhailo’s comrades-in-arms assured the hero’s relatives that they would continue exacting revenge on enemy for his life and the lives of thousands fallen Ukrainian heroes.
