On July 29, 2025, under direct orders from the kremlin, russian intelligence services launched the active phase of yet another subversive information campaign aimed at undermining Ukraine's resilience in the ongoing war.
Top-tier propagandists of the aggressor state, together with various kremlin-linked disinformation outlets, are actively spreading false claims about a supposed secret meeting between Ukrainian military and political leaders and representatives of the United States and the United Kingdom, allegedly held in the Alps.
This fabricated narrative—hastily concocted by serhey naryshkin and branded by russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR)—is designed to stir public tension in Ukraine, sow distrust within the country's military-political leadership, distract attention from the war by shifting focus to elections, provoke internal division, and ultimately weaken Ukraine's capacity to resist the russian invasion.
A key element of this renewed wave of information aggression involves targeted attacks against Ukraine's military intelligence. In particular, kremlin-linked channels are circulating false accusations regarding the alleged involvement of a DIU servicemember in drug trafficking.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine urges the public to practice information hygiene, refrain from sharing russian disinformation, and remain focused on resisting the lies and crimes of the russian aggressor wherever possible.
Glory to Ukraine!
