In an interview with the French newspaper Liberation, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, expressed gratitude to the nation and government of France for their assistance in the fight against terrorist russia and called for more weapons to be provided. 

“We are very grateful to France for helping us. After all, they might not have done so. However, we would like to have more, it’s no secret,” said Kyrylo Budanov.

According to him, all the provided types of French weapons have already shown very significant results at the front.

“‘CAESAR’ artillery systems have proven themselves well. The same can be said for Scalp-EG missiles. These systems have shown excellent results. We need more SAMP/T-Mamba anti-aircraft missile systems. And we expect France to provide us with aircrafts,” the head of the military intelligence of Ukraine noted.

He noted that Ukrainian pilots are able to easily master the French Mirage 2000 multi-role fighter aircraft.

"Ukrainian pilots are among the most highly qualified in the world today because they have real combat experience. No one has ever faced russian fourth-generation fighters in the sky, except for Ukrainian pilots. So, our pilots will be able to master this technique with ease," Kyrylo Budanov explained.

"We are dealing with a [russian air] fleet of 300 aircraft. That's why we need help and I hope that the French Republic will provide us with these aircrafts," summarized the DIU Chief.
