Ukrainian society retains strong immunity to russian propaganda - Andriy Yusov
December 20, 2024

"The enemy spends huge resources on creating its content, fakes, statements, disinformation, propaganda, but it spends even more resources in general not only on creating but also on spreading certain propaganda and narratives," said Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, during a press conference on 'Information Warfare: Key Narratives Created and Disseminated by russian Propaganda' at Interfax Ukraine.

He noted that moscow uses the most vulnerable topics and categories to spread its propaganda primarily to Ukrainian society to demotivate our citizens and unbalance the state to prevent further resistance to russia's genocidal war against Ukraine.

"It should be noted that, in general, russia is not getting the results it wants in this area either. Ukrainian society maintains a stable immunity to russian propaganda and narratives. However, every day we face new attacks," noted the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to him, russia continues to implement several special active measures in the information sphere aimed at both Ukraine and our partners to try to weaken and split the pro-Ukrainian coalition.

"Discrediting Ukraine in the world is a separate line that russia continues to pursue. Anything potentially bad for Ukraine in the world is exaggerated and hyperbolized to influence further society in Ukraine and the societies of its partners. Therefore, these threats will be particularly acute in the coming month," emphasized Andriy Yusov.
