The Ukrainian army is already demonstrating its uniqueness and ability to quickly learn, adapt to new challenges, future relations with the russian federation will be very difficult. This was said by Major General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview to Wirtualna Polska Polish News Portal.

"What is happening is evidence of the uniqueness of the Ukrainian army. But seriously, it's very simple: we quickly adapt and improve old equipment. It's true, we often use an older type of equipment but adapted one to new tasks and challenges. Sometimes we do it better than its creators. We also learn new things quickly. This requires us to prove ourselves every day on the battlefield, in a real combat," Kyrylo Budanov said.

The Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine compared the future Ukraine's victory with the defeat of Spanish Invinsible Armada, urging not to treat the war as a static process.

“First of all, we must free ourselves from thinking of war as something static, “frozen” or permanent. It's a mistake. In my opinion, it is a living substance. Our enemy, we see, changes and adapts to the situation... We, Ukrainians, have helped the whole world to dispel the stories about russia's invincible army. I will go back to history: in the time of Queen Elizabeth I, the British defeated the Spanish fleet, the Great and Invincible Armada, at sea. In the same way, we will defeat the “great and invincible” army of russia. Just like David defeated Goliath,” Kyrylo Budanov said.

The head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine also noted that an active analysis of the enemy, the state of its army, logistics, production cycles, problems and mental challenges of the military and political leadership of the russian federation makes it possible to predict his further actions.

“We also see significant changes within the russian state itself. Those that surfaced after a full-scale invasion, after the introduction of sanctions and after the return home of thousands of black bags with the bodies of russians who perished in Ukraine. All this works because every day it gradually destroys putin's regime, undermines him,” Major General Kyrylo Budanov noted.

Regarding the future relations between russia and Ukraine, the head of Ukraine's military intelligence predicts as “a very complicated process”. 

“It is interesting that currently in the russian information space, primarily on the Internet, but also among parts of the opposition, the idea that only “putin’s clique” should be blamed for this invasion is beginning to be promoted. And society has nothing to do with it. However, we are at war with a country where more than two-thirds of the population supported putin's actions! We do not know what the future of russia will be like. How many elements will it fall apart into and with whom we will have to talk about reparations and prosecuting those responsible for crimes,” the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine told.
