A meeting was held with the participation of the heads of all power ministries and departments, as well as of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

According to Oleksandr Turchynov, taking into consideration the threats facing the country, “we cannot reduce the volume of financing of the security and defence sector. That is why, the requirement of the National security strategy concerning the financing of the defence and security sector in the amount of 5% GDP should be strictly fulfilled”.

“Along with the draft budget for the next year, we have to work out the State defence order for 2017 opting for modern missile systems, powerful artillery systems, Air Defence facilities, electronic warfare and electronic intelligence, etc.", – Oleksandr Turchynov stated, adding that payment of the servicemen should be raised adjusted for inflation, and that “the status of the military profession should be maintained as of one of the most prestigious and important professions in the country”.
