Rashists Suffer ― a Large-Scale Failure of Drone Control Software: Details of the DIU CyberattackThe cybersecurity specialists of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have conducted another successful operation against the russian occupants. As of February 8, 2024, the enemy complaints about a massive failure of the drone control software.

This software is used by russians to reflash DJI drones to meet the needs of combat operations.

Among other things, the software enables enemy drone operators:

  • set up control panels and create new ones;
  • capture video and transmit the image to the command post;
  • control the drone from a computer (not via the remote control).

Through web servers, this russian drone reflashing project ensures the functioning of the ‘friend-or-foe’ system.

Rashists Suffer ― a Large-Scale Failure of Drone Control Software: Details of the DIU CyberattackAccording to preliminary data, as a result of the DIU cyberattack, the servers stopped working, so all software is recognised as "foreign" and denies access to the rashists.

Without access to the servers, and therefore to the system, it is probably impossible to control drones from remotes.

Now the enemy is trying to solve the problem in every possible way, including by switching to manual control.

Glory to Ukraine!
