The Xth Spartakiad among the structural units started in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Today, the solemn opening ceremony of the Xth Spartakiad among structural units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was held at the sports complex of the Central Sports Club of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
– The Spartakiad among the structural units of the Ministry of Defense is held in order to further implement physical culture in the daily life of service men and employees of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to enhance health and fitness, as well as sporting and mass participation work in the structural units of the defense agency, to promote physical culture, sports and healthy lifestyle, – the Head of the Sports Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Colonel Yuriy Finogenov said during the opening ceremony of the sports event.
Besides, Colonel Finogenov presented the representatives of the structural units of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with awards for participation in the last IXth Spartakiad. In particular, the representatives of the DIU received a Cup and Diploma for the first team place gained during the IXth Spartakiad.
