An open space of the DIU's Artan Special Action Unit has been opened in the Podil district of Kyiv. It will be open to visitors six days a week.
The space will become a place of meeting and support for the Special Forces veterans and their families. Everyone will be able to learn about the combat path of “Artan” warriors, current vacancies in the Special Forces, the benefits of service in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and ways to help the intelligence officers.
“Artan” unit commander Titan thanked those creating the hub and invited them to the “Artan” space.
“It will be interesting not only for those who want to join us. But also for everyone else who wants to see and hear those people, those heroes who have been defending our holy land since day one.
There will be a family atmosphere here, just like in our unit. Thank you, and I invite everyone,” said Titan.
An officer of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine with the call sign Philosopher, spoke at the opening of the space.
“Everyone knows that our organization is very closed. Perhaps this is a very sensitive and significant moment when we get closer to the population. And our ability to connect our organization with society is through our units that perform the most difficult tasks in the main frontline areas. We cannot separate these things. Ukraine should know its heroes,” the officer emphasized.
Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of such charitable initiatives.
“This is a place for those thinking, hesitating, wanting to join. They think about their future choices in life, profession, and specialty. Those who want to defend the country in different ways and guises. Space for family members, space for journalists, and space for volunteers. It is great that there are more such places in Ukraine today,” he said.
Taking care of the veteran community is one of the space's priorities.
“Here, veterans can share their experiences and receive psychological, legal, and moral support. It is also about communication. I believe this will be a meeting place where you can just come, drink coffee, talk, and exchange ideas,” said volunteer Diana Podolianchuk.
The Diana Podolianchuk Charitable Foundation, which systematically supports the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, organized the open space project. The initiative was joined by the foundation's sponsors and partners, Ukrainian music bands, and Vladyslav Sivak's SIVAK Concert agency.
