In 2017, intelligence officer of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Maksym Shapoval, who was posthumously awarded the title of the Hero of Ukraine, killed by the Russian diversionists in Kyiv.

To perpetuate the memory of the courageous son of the Ukrainian people, the residents of Solomianskyi district in Kyiv decided to create public garden not far from the place where Maksym Shapoval was killed.

One year ago, the memorial stone appeared in public garden. And recently, the plaque with inscription "Strength in eternity! Glory in the feat!" has been placed on this stone.

Heroes do not die!
