The memorial plaque has been installed on the facade of the building of the Ihor Sikorskyi Aerospace Lyceum of the National Aviation University.

Oleksandr Chub, an employee of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, took part in combat and special operations in the area of conducting of the anti-terrorist operation since 2016. In February 2022, he entered voluntarily in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in battles for defence of Kyiv and Kyiv oblast. He was a courage and a decisive person; he masterfully annihilated the enemy.

He was always in the first ranks of those who went on the most risky combat and special tasks: reconnaissance, ambush, destruction of the occupiers’ bases in the rear, capturing prisoners and seizing weapons.

Lieutenant Chub Oleksandr Serhiyovych was awarded with the “Golden Star” Order of Hero of Ukraine (posthumously) for renowned personal achievements, displayed while performing combat tasks during the deterrence and repulsing the armed aggression of the terrorist country, for exceptional merits before the Ukrainian state, devotion to the case of protection of Ukraine, self-devoted and distinguished service for the sake of Ukrainian people, for his personal courage and heroism.

Representatives of military intelligence of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, his relatives, comrades-in-arms, students of the lyceum where Oleksandr had studied, and students of the National Aviation University came to commemorate the intelligence officer.
