One of the events dedicated to the occasion was a speech given by historian and politologist Yevhen Mahda to the employees of the intelligence body.
For three years the Russian Federation has been carrying out military aggression against Ukraine. One of the outposts in confronting this aggression is the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. In view of this, the renown Ukrainian historian and political analytic presented his book “Hybrid war: to survive and to win” to the intelligence officers.
In his book, Yevhen Mahda identifies the factors which caused Ukraine to become the object of aggression exhibited from the side of Russia. The author analyses what caused Ukraine to weaken, states the main displays of Russian aggression and offers his methods of gaining victory in the confrontation against the most aggressive country in the world.
During the meeting, the author answered a number of questions from DIU employees regarding his vision on the new events occurring in international relationships – hybrid warfare, countermeasures to the aggression of the Russian Federation against our state, and expressed hope for further meetings with the representatives of the military intelligence of Ukraine.
