Today, members of the executive committee of the Bila Tserkva City Council supported the request of the Local Education and Science Directorate on the installation of memorial plaques in honor of the two warriors from Bila Tserkva who perished in the ATO zone.

One of the memorable signs is to be installed on the facade of an educational establishment of Bila Tserkva “First Gymnasium-School I degree of Bila Tserkva” in honor of the deceased military intelligence officer Maksym Slomchynskyi.

Sergeant Slomchynskyi served in a reconnaissance troop of a separate motorized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died in November of 2016 while performing a combat task in the ATO zone. He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” by a decree of the President of Ukraine for personal courage exhibited in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for selfless execution of military duty.
