A decision to rename Ordzhonikidze Street in Volodymyr Dovhaniuk Street was made by Berdiansk borough council of Zaporizhzhia oblast, considering that intelligence officer was born in Berdiansk. He finished school here and from here he came to enter military school.

When Kremlin’s leaders triggered off armed aggression against Ukraine, Volodymyr Leonodovych couldn’t remain aside and gave report with request to second him in the ATO area. In February 2014, Colonel Dovhaniuk perished during performing of combat tasks.

Dovhaniuk’s colleagues remember about him as a professional, who learnt himself and learnt military skills others. He appreciated decency and honour, and more they remember about him as all-round man with a keen sense of humor, enamored with music that inspired him.
