Today, the Russian military-industrial complex is beginning to experience social unrest due to a sharp decline in wages and living standards. This is a logical consequence of the huge costs of the war and the inability to ensure stable budget revenues due to international sanctions and economic downturns.
Trade unionists have despaired of trying to resolve the issue at the sectoral level. Therefore, "in connection with the ineffectiveness of numerous written appeals to the Ministry of Defence and the Government of the russian federation on raising the salaries for civilian personnel" it is proposed to appeal to the Supreme Court of the russian federation. The main requirement is "to oblige the government and the Ministry of Defence to index wages".
The authors of the appeal do not specify how this will help fill the russian budget.
This case demonstrates the effectiveness of international economic sanctions and the inability of the occupying country to solve socio-economic problems only at the expense of domestic resources.
