On July 14, 2023, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

During the meeting, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, reported about the situation in belarus in connection with the fact of deployment of the so-called Wagner mercenaries there and the previously announced plan of the russian aggressor to deploy its nuclear weapons on belarusian territory.

Ukrainian President stressed on importance of the provided intelligence data about the existing and potential threats and challenges from belarus.

“We are monitoring very carefully what is happening there in regards of security: as of today [14 July] there are no large-scale threats. Our full focus is on the front,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
