Kyrylo Budanov: World Should Not Be Hostage to Actions of One Terrorist Country

Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Major General Kyrylo Budanov has given an exclusive interview to the Bulgarian TV channel bTV.

"Attacks on the port infrastructure and Ukraine's grain warehouses are another evidence of russia's crime against humanity. Due to the fact that we have reduced the export of grain, mainly poor countries that rely on Ukraine for food - mainly Asian and African countries - are suffering," told Kyrylo Budanov adding that our country is taking measures to resume export volumes.

"We will start exporting grain again, whether russia likes it or not. The whole world mustn't be hostage to the actions of one terrorist country,"> the DIU chief stressed.

Commenting the offensive actions of Ukraine on front, Kyrylo Budanov emphasized that they continue.

"During this time, russia has built stationary, fully equipped, concrete-filled defensive positions. That's why it's difficult, I will be frank. But the most important thing is that the offensive does not stop but continues: in the Bakhmut direction it is a little faster than in the south, but time will tell," he said.

Kyrylo Budanov also expressed gratitude to Bulgaria for the assistance in struggling against the russian occupying forces.

"Bulgaria has provided us with a significant amount of weapons but the main thing is that it is increasing the production of new ammunition. The needs are very acute, and therefore this is very much a matter of survival for Kyiv. Ukraine will always remember and be grateful for the assistance that your state has provided us with," the head of Ukraine's military intelligence emphasized
