Sergeant Yevhen Burko died carrying out combat mission in the area of anti-terrorist operation
Deputy Commander of the Special Forces reconnaissance group of the 3rd Special Forces regiment Sergeant Yevhen Burko died on June 12, 2014, while carrying out a combat task in the ATO area. He is awarded with the Order "For courage" posthumously.
In the memory of Yevhen, the father wrote a number of songs which he came to perform in Zaporizhia military hospital. Besides, Volodymyr Burko brought apples from Kirovohrad oblast for the wounded warriors.
The father of the perished scout has chosen Zaporizhia hospital not accidentally.
– When my son died, I took him home from Zaporizhia. Then, this town became native to me, – he noted.
