It was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Brussels.
It goes about the implementation of the provisions of the law on national security, the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine, intelligence agencies, defence-industrial complex, as well as the provision of democratic civilian control in the security and defence sector.
“Stable, democratic Ukraine capable of defending itself is an integral part of European security. I am convinced that our special partnership with the Alliance will develop effectively. I hope that we will be able to transform our partnership into a full-fledged alliance in the future,” the President said.
For his part, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg assured that the Alliance would continue to provide Ukraine with strong support in various fields and commended the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to NATO standards.
